Akshays Khanna best performacnes

Akshaye Khanna is the son of iconic actor Vinod Khanna. He debuted with the movie Himalay Putra which was produced by his father and since then have featured in many commercially and critically acclaimed films.
Today on his 41st birthday lets take a look at some of his best work.

1. Border

Border is one of India's best war movies and it also helped to boost the acting careers of many actors - Sunil Shetty and Akshaye Khanna to mention a few.

Akshaye won the  Filmfare Best Debut Award and a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie.

2. Dil Chahta Hai

Akshaye won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Siddharth (Sid) in Dil CHahta Hai.  Staring Amir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan the film marked the debut of Farhan Akhtar as a Writer and Director

The role was quite unconventional as Sid (Akshaye) falls in love with Tara (Dimple Kapadia) who is older than him (his mother’s age) and Akshaye pulled it off quite well.

3. Taal

Akshaye’s role in Taal as Manav is one to remember. The film was a romantic musical and was a big hit in India and overseas as well.

4. Hulchul

Although we have seen Akshaye Khanna mostly in serious roles but with Hulchal he proved his great comic timing.

Ok. I admit this movie belongs to Arshad Warshi and Pareesh Rawal. But Akshaye's performance was also noteworthy in this flick.

5. Hungama

With Hungama, Akshaye one again proved his ability to perfom comic role. Directed by Priyadarshan Hungama was a commercial success.

6. Humraaz

Released in 2002 Humraaz is a Abbas-Mustan suspense thriller where Akshaye plays a negative character.

Akshaye plays Karan Malhotra in the film who plans a plot to acquire Raj Singhania’s  (Bobby Deol) wealth. Akshaye was nominated in the Best Actor in a Negative role category in various awards for his role.

7. Race

Another negative character in another Abbas-Mustan thriller. Race is one of the most exciting suspense thrillers in Indian cinema and Akshaye’s plays Rajeev, Saif’s younger brother, in the film.

It is one of those films where you don’t have a hero but you need to choose sides between negative characters.

8. Gandhi, My Father

Akshaye plays Harilal Gandhi in this biopic which shows the troubled relationship between Mahatma Gandhi and his son.

Akshaye did not win any award for the role but the film was critically acclaimed and won many awards.

9. Aakrosh

Akshaye Khanna and Ajay Devgan plays the lead roles in this action thriller inspired by the Hollywood movie Mississippi Burning.

You can witness the great acting skills of all the actors involved in film.
